China Glaze Twinkle Collection Review - Part 2

Dear Nail Diary,

This is the second part of my review for China Glaze's Twinkle Collection.  Sorry it's a bit late, however there was a mix up with my order and I had to wait for it to be corrected before I could post this.  While I've been waiting, I've updated the look of the blog and I think it fits in better with the image I'm trying to create.
Anyway, on with the Twinkle Collection....

De-Light

Colour/Shade:
Gold multi-shape glitter featuring hex and holographic bar glitters.
I'm not really a fan of gold shades, however I'm a magpie and love anything that sparkles.  I especially love the addition of the holo bars.
Application:
The application was easy enough and I only needed two coats to get the coverage on the swatch stick.  It leaves a rough finish, so you'd need a top coat if you like to keep things smooth.
Would I wear it on it's own?
I might, but probably only as an accent.

Tip Your Hat

Colour/Shade:
Red creme.
As I said last time, I'm quite particular about red polishes, but I've been really impressed with the shades in this collection.
Application:
Lovely smooth, even application and finish.
Would I wear it on it's own?
Possibly, but as with most reds I have, I'd feel a bit naked and/or too grown up without something on top.

Out Like A Light

Colour/Shade:
Dark grey creme.
I was a bit worried that this was going to be too similar to my Barry M - Grey, however it's at least two or three shades darker.  It could possibly even pass for a cloudy black.
Application:
Went on smooth and was even from the first coat.
Would I wear it on it's own?
Definitely!  I'm already planning what I can wear it with.

Pine-ing For Glitter

Colour/Shade:
Green glitter.
Colour is similar to Nails Inc's Battersea polish, however the coverage is more like Fitzroy Square.
Application:
Smooth enough for a glitter.  It's definitely more of a topcoat glitter as the coverage is a bit sparse.  Also it's kind of a bitty glitter, so an additional topcoat would be needed.
Would I wear it on it's own?
I might, but probably only as an accent, unless I was in a glitzy mood.

Chillin' With My Snow-mies

Colour/Shade:
White multi-size hex glitter - clear base.
This is probably my favourite in the whole collection!
Application:
The application was easy enough, however with these types of glitter it's usually easier to pick out the glitter and place them where you want them.  What I was really impressed with, is how flat the glitters laid against the nail.  You'd probably want to add a topcoat for security, however I've been wearing mine all weekend "topless!"
Would I wear it on it's own?
I'm rocking it right now!

Feeling Twinkly*

Colour/Shade:
Blue micro glitter.
This is running close with Chillin' With My Snow-mies to being my favourite.
Application:
Smooth application and great coverage.  You need to build up the coats to get full coverage over the nail.
Would I wear it on it's own?
I might, but probably only as an accent.

Thoughts Overall:
I really like the collection and there are many colours that I'd be willing to wear beyond the season they were intended for.

I hope you enjoyed my review of this collection and the new look Dear Nail Diary.  I have a nail polish haul coming soon, which I can't wait to share with you.  I'm in desperate need of storage!

=:x

* I apologise for the quality of this photo, as I didn't have time to take it properly, nor show how it looked on my nails.  I'll try and update it in the future.
