Dear Nail Diary,
Happy Halloween!
I love this time of year - and not just because of all the sweet treats! The weather (which has been unseasonably warm round here), the food and the nails.
First up, Candy Corn nails. Maybe because I'm not American, but I don't get the hate that these get. I always make sure I have a bag for Halloween.
I started off with two coats of Barry M - White and added a coat of SV to speed up the drying time. Using nail striping tape I painted on coats of Nails Inc - Porchester Place and Barry M's Lemon Ice Cream. I then applied a coat of OPI Matte topcoat to get the candy's texture. Once dry I applied tape in a triangle and painted on Barry M's Matte Mocha.
For my mani I wanted a blood splatter, but that sounded too simple.
On my thumb and baby finger I painted two coats of Barry M's White. While on my index, middle and ring fingers I painted two coats of Essie's After Sex and then OPI's Matte topcoat. Once dry, I used BM plate 023 with Nails Inc's Black Taxi and added another coat of Matte. Finally with a straw, I blew on a splatter of China Glaze's Aztec Orange and Nails Inc's Kensington High Street.
Have a good one!
=:x
